I hate my work PC

it has been dying a slow, painful death for about a week....

I have the approval to get another (read: better, shinier, more powerful and versatile) computer, but there is a process....a longer than I care to wait process

so today I was reduced to using a tablet laptop, with promises from my techie buddy (not the one who suggested it was probably just my mouse) that he would tinker with the lemon tonite and get it rigged long enough to keep me from castrating his coworker before the replacement arrives

and of course if I'm not being completely lazy, I could take the laptop in.....yeah, that's not likely
